Equipment/Rentals
Air Mover Rental, Fan Rental, Blower Rental
It is also referred to as an air mover, blower, carpet drying fan or fan. We use the Sahara pro model made by Dri-Eaz. It is considered to be one of the most reliable air movers in the industry. We make sure we test and tag all our 60 air movers twice a year to ensure they are safe to leave running in your home.
We use air movers in the following applications
Venting underneath the carpet surface (see Image)
Venting above carpet surface
Blower can be tilted at a 45 degree angle as well as a 90% angel to dry walls and ceilings
Connected to venting kit to vent air in cavities and walls (see below)
Power Usage
Approximately 3.7 Amps
Power: 0.75 hp
Air Scrubber Rental, Hepa Filtration Rental
This is a unit we use frequently for fire restoration and mould remediation work. Its task is to filter out air contaminates during a restoration of a property. This unit can filter contaminates up to 0.3 microns which include some mould spores and fine soot particles. It can also be effective at removing smoke odour through the use of a carbon filter attachment.
The end result is a dryer carpet at the end of extraction meaning that we may not have to remove your carpet or float your carpet to dry it down. Basically we may be able to leave your carpets in place while it is being dried down. This can aid in preventing shrinkage and damage to carpet under the carpet gripper strips.
Having said this, we have found the water claw to work well mostly with foam underlay. Also it seems that most new carpet installations in Brisbane have foam underlay as opposed to rubber underlay.
Ace Turbo Dryer Rental
We have over 20 ace turbo dryers available. These fans are usually used to dry carpets, walls or anything that is wet. The main advantage of these units over an ordinary air mover is:
7 drying positions.
Each unit uses only 1.5 amps. You can have up to 8 ace fans connected to a 15 amp circuit.
Provides larger surface area of airflow than the air mover. The velocity of air is lower.
7 different drying positions
7 Different Positions for drying
Thermal Fogger Rental
We use thermal floggers for deodorising smoke damaged properties. They release a fine fog with odour reducing chemical which penetrates and neutralises particles as small as .25 microns. When there is a fire, smoke can penetrate the walls of ceilings, floors, HVAC systems etc. Thermal fogging can be used to release the odours in these pours. They are particularly useful for deodorising in voids in structures which may be difficult to reach. odour removal brisbane
Dehumidifier Rental
We use low grain refrigerant dehumidifiers which work well in most Queensland climates. A dehumidifier when teamed up with air movers can create a excellent dry down envirosnment to take the moisture out of your carpet, underlay, subfloor and wall ceiling structure.
We only use Dri-eaze brand dehumidifiers which are among the most reliable dehumidifiers in the industry. Some of its unique features include:
Each dehumidifier is treated with antimicrobial at the time of injection moulding which can help avoid fungal or mould growth on the machines themselves. This reduces the risk of cross contamination when the unit is moved between job sites.
Waste water is automatically pumped out rather than kept inside the unit.
A low grain refrigerant dehumidifier works just like a fridge or air conditioner. Basically it works to take the moisture out of the air by using condensation. This process is made more efficient by using a pre-cooling device which automatically cools the air before it is goes through the condensation process. The water that has been taken out of the air is then pumped out of the room or pumped into an enclosed container.
We use the Drizeaz Brand dehumidifiers. The three types of models we operate are:
LGR1200 We commonly use this model to dry down an average sized bedroom. The Power usage is about 2.4 amps.
LGR 1800 Evolution LGR This model is one of the most efficient dehumidifiers for their size available. This dehumidifier is only a fraction larger than the LGR 1200 but it can pull up to 56.7 Litres of moisture a day. Its design also makes it convenient to attach ducting to the unit so dry air can be ducted into wet cavities or directly onto wet timber floors.
LGR2000 This is our largest dehumidifier which we carry and it can remove up to 80 L of water per day at saturation point. It uses around 4 amps of power. This unit works well in larger spaces such as a lounge room, living area or on commercial sites.
Delmhorst Moisture Meter
We use the Delmhorst Total Check moisture meter which is both a non-penetrating and penetrating moisture metre. We can penetrate the surface of the wet material to determine the moisture as a percentage inside the material. We can also use the non-penetrating option which involves us placing the back of the moisture metre on the surface of the material. This is as accurate as the penetrating option however it is not invasive.
This moisture metre can also determine the following:
Temperature
Relative humidity
Dew Point
Specific humidity
Method we use for testing moisture in concrete.
When starting to dry down the building the relative humidity will be at a high level which will be gradually reduced over the dry down period. Therefore, it is important for us to regularly monitor the humidity when drying down a building. It will give us a good indication of how well the structure is drying down. Using this meter we can effectively measure the moisture of:
Concrete
Over 69 individual wood species. We can measure timber floor by using metal prongs which are penetrated between the wood panels through the use of a hammer probe (see picture)
Gyprock / Drywall
Carpet, underlay etc
Venting underneath the carpet surface (see Image)
Venting above carpet surface
